The Politsies Ski Resort or Prophiti Elias was for many years the largest ski resort of Metsovo until Anilio opened. It is located on the old Ioannina – Trikala highway, near Katara. Its altitude ranges from 1360 meters to 1620. It has two sliding lifts of 700 and 550 meters respectively and a baby lift of 150 meters. The Karakoli Metsovou Ski Center is located on Mount Mavrovouni, at an altitude of: 1340 m – 1520 m. It has two slopes, one blue 900m and one green 1100m. which are served by an aerial, single-seater lift (chair) 800m long. It also has a chalet with restaurant and cafe and parking. Contact phone:
